Voluntary financial contributions agreement signed with the Council of Europe
As authorized and instructed by the Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on 18 June 2026, the Permanent Representative of Lithuania to the Council of Europe signed an agreement with Mr. Bjørn Berge, CoE Deputy Secretary General, on Lithuanian voluntary financial contributions to the implementation of the CoE Plans of Action for Ukraine, Armenia, and the Republic of Moldova; to the CoE Information Point in Vilnius for the People of Belarus; and to the CoE Safety of Journalists Platform. These contributions reflect some of Lithuania’s key priorities in the work of the Council and embody solidarity with all other member States in pursuit of the objectives of our organization.
