Government of Lithuania has committed to make a voluntary financial contribution in support of the Council of Europe Action Plans for Ukraine, Armenia, and the Republic of Moldova
On 10 September 2025, Permanent Representative Ambassador Andrius Krivas and Deputy Secretary General of the Council of
EU Delegation to the Council of Europe Bjørn Berge signed an agreement under which the Government of Lithuania has committed to make a voluntary financial contribution in support of the Council of Europe Action Plans for Ukraine, Armenia, and the Republic of Moldova. The Action Plans are effective instruments of the Council of Europe to advance respect for human rights as well as democratic institutions and practices in the Member States. Notably, the Action Plan for Ukraine "Resilience, Recovery and Reconstruction" addresses an important part of Ukraine's assistance needs in face of the ongoing brutal russian war of aggression.
