Celebration of the Day of Restoration of Independence of Lithuania and the 80th anniversary of the Lithuanian Community in Strasbourg
Permanent Representative of Lithuania to the Council of Europe, Ambassador Andrius Krivas, hosted a reception in celebration of the Day of Restoration of Independence of Lithuania and the 80th anniversary of the Lithuanian Community in Strasbourg.
On March 27, the Permanent Representative of Lithuania to the Council of Europe, Ambassador Andrius Krivas, hosted a reception at the European Parliamentary Association in Strasbourg, in celebration of the Day of Restoration of Independence of Lithuania (March 11) and the 80th anniversary of the Lithuanian Community in Strasbourg. The guests were greeted by the host, by the Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe Bjorn Berge, the Ambassador of Lithuania in France Arnoldas Pranckevičius, and the President of the Lithuanian Community of Strasbourg Jolita Šilanskienė. The instrumental duo Tutto a Dio: Greta Staponkutė-Rakau (alto) and Augustinas Rakauskas (accordion) performed a selection of pieces by Lithuanian composers. The audience received the concert with acclaim.
The event was attended by numerous dignitaries from the CoE institutions, Permanent Representatives and Observers, as well as members of the Lithuanian community and friends of Lithuania.
